TLDR : Answer Summary
No, individuals holding an Education Visa (ED Visa) in Thailand cannot obtain a work permit. Education visas are specifically designed for study purposes, and working is prohibited. If a company wishes to hire someone on an ED Visa, they must cancel the education visa and apply for a Non-B Visa, which permits employment. There is a rare exception allowing unpaid internships related to specific degrees, but generally, the ED Visa does not permit any form of paid work.

Nope. There is one situation, and one only, where you can legally "work" while being on an ED visa. And that is if you are doing an internship as part of the education. That would usually be unpaid though, and doesn't apply to any kind of language learning courses.. It does apply to certain bachelors degrees, if teaching related.

You can study on any kind of visa. So if you qualify for work, then get a visa that supports that. You cannot (legally) work on an ED visa.

You won't get a wp for it though

If a company wants to hire you, you can get documentation to apply for a non-b visa, which will let you have a work permit. Your education visa would be cancelled in that case
you would need to change to a non-b visa with a work permit. You would need to have a job and the company paperwork to apply for the visa. You can continue to study on the non-b visa if you wish
