Quick question about speeding up the DTV application:

I’ve heard that some applications have been stuck in review for over 2 weeks.

I also heard that a few people reached out via Line to check on the status.

Would it be wise to do the same if my application has been pending for about 4–5 days? Also… has anyone ever tried asking if there’s a way to *pay* for an express review? 😅

Curious to hear if anyone has experience with this or any tips to share!

Hey guys! Quick question, in applying for the DTV, we have USD 11K in 1 checking account and another USD 10K in another checking account in the same bank. Is that enough to satisfy requirements of 500,000THB for this visa? Or does it need to be in the same account? And how many months of statements do I need to show with 500,000THB equivalent? Hi everyone, I have a question regarding DTV application.

I understand I should say where I will be during the DTV application. In this case, i will put my Airbnb address in Vietnam.

When i tick that my permanent address is different than current address, it add a 2nd address to fill. Is my understanding correct:

1 = current adress

2 = permanent adress

Correct ?

Does anyone already filled a permanent address in Thailand ? Is there any issue ? Do you have to provide Home certificate only for current address during application ? or home permanent address as well ?

Wanted to post my experience from getting my DTV Visa in Hanoi May 2025, as this group was super helpful for me!

I applied the Digital Nomad route (whatever its called) as I have a working contract with a company from Hong Kong. American passport.

What I submitted:

-Passport biopage

-Photos

-Work contact (signed by my boss and I)

-Bank statements (above 500k) going back 6 months (wanted to be thorough and the more you send the better.)

-I originally submitted my Hanoi hotel booking as proof of location

Timeline

-Tuesday May 13th I submitted it at 8am the day I flew to Hanoi.

-Thursday May 15th I got a request for more paperwork. (They wanted Vietnam entry stamp and "business certification" for work

-Friday May 16th, resubmitted all of this (the business cert I had to wait for my boss, they wanted the official registration from the country of your company)

-Friday May 16th it went into "pending approval"

-Friday May 23rd, received eVisa approval at 10am

My flight back to Thailand was scheduled for May 24th.

This is my 3rd eVisa and each time I received approval on a Friday. It appears 5-6 working days is the sweet spot as long as it's not around a holiday or something. The process was very simple, my main advice is give them more paperwork than you think you should. Everything you have, combine into a PDF and submit.

Hey folks, I applied for soft power Muay Thai at Canberra embassy in Australia on the 14th of May, I had to add an additional doc on the 20th, I’ve heard Canberra can be fast and slow approving visas. Has anyone else on here gone through Canberra and what were your results.

DTV (workcation) just approved by RTE Canberra after a long wait. Initial application made late April. Further info requested within a few days of that, and then ... ... ... until today.

Patience was key thanks to advice that I read in this forum. (I was tempted to email and/or call but decided it might just waste everyone's time at best and harm my case at worst. Jai yen yen dee gwa.)

Hello everyone quick question. When doing the TDAC when we fill out the question that asks for visa no. do we fill in our re-entry permit number or visa number?

Also when we fill out the "country/territory of residence" portion do we put our thai address or home country address? In the past I think I used my home country.

Hey folks! For those who don't fit the criteria for DTV but want to stay a few months, is there an option for 6-month tourist visa? I've heard of this and it feels like an urban legend because I'm not sure I know anyone who has actually gotten it (maybe I don't know anyone who has applied for it). If yes, which countries can successfully get a 6-month tourist visa? Thanks!
