2 questions

1. What happens if my DTV visa is approved and i'm not in the country?

1. Has anyone also tried to call them to ask for status updates / if they can expedite the process?

Applying from the UK here, Soft Power Muay Thai through wildcat gym, got the 6 month course 30 lessons

Sent Application 25th Sept

Request for further docs 30th Sept

Sent updates 1st Oct

Moved to Pending Approval 3rd Oct

it's still pending approval

My flight is 22nd October and hoping everything happens in time

hello. I have a very specific question. I am in Thailand half the year in Canada half the year. I have a year round condo rental.

With this visa, we can obviously not get a bank account.

I am wondering how people pay their bills during the time they are not in Thailand.

Specifically, I am looking to pay my true phone bill, my water bill, my electric bill and my cable bill

I really appreciate any information you can offer

Is a return flight required on the TDAC with a DTV? I had been in the country on a DTV prior to that taking effect. I've just returned to the US and will be going back to Thailand next month. I saw it was not a required field on the form but wasn't sure if anyone had problems with just a one way ticket.

Thanks everybody for the information.

Submitted application and payment to Chicago consulate and it is now telling me “pending payment” after it said my debit payment failed. I did not receive any sort of fraud notification from bank, nor have a seen any payments out of my account. It’s not giving an option to retry payment again. Any advice on what to do? Thanks in advance 🙏

Update: I restarted application and used another debit card. Had to verify with bank before having it approved the 3rd time! It’s now in processing.

Mods, feel free to delete if this is too off topic. I have a question about visa transitions. If I did an ED visa to learn Thai, but wanted to transition to the DTV soft power eventually, would I get denied if I used the same school for both visas?

For context, I am trying to move by a certain time frame. In order to meet the 500k baht requirement, I need to sell all my things, but I would need that money in the bank for at least 3 months. So I figure, if I did an ED visa, I wouldn't have to meet that requirement, and it would give me time for my money to sit in my bank account long enough to then apply for the DTV visa.

I want to do the soft power DTV to learn Thai, but I'm curious if that will look weird or bad going from an ED visa to DTV with the same school or if that's even allowed.

Any insight is welcome! Thanks in advance.

Do people by a refundable ticket to apply for the visa? It's labeled as 'Intended date of arrival' yet asking for the exact flight number?

Also is a two week hotel stay sufficient for the application? My plan is to get there and look for a condo.

What do people select for the 'Intended date of departure'? 1 year from now? 5 years?

✔️DTV approved! 🥂✨

I submitted my application on October 7th at 23:43, and my visa was approved on October 9th at 15:51 - that’s just around 40 hours in total!

I applied through the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw, and the whole process was very smooth.

If anyone has any questions about the application steps or required documents, feel free to reach out - I’m happy to help! 🇹🇭✨

Hi

Advice please!!!! I’m from the UK and that’s where I’ll be applying from but I was going to ask, how strict are they at authorising the visa if you have the 500000 THB but you’ve only had it for like a month? Have people been approved?

I’m also going to teach English remotely but technically I will be earning my own money and have to set that all up?

Does anyone have any experience with this!!!

Thanks xx

TM30 question. Last day of my one year lease is 25 November 2025. I returned home today after a few days in a Thai hotel in holiday. I believe: Check in should be 10 October and check out should be 25 November (both 2025). Is that correct?? Trying to help the real estate agent get it done correctly. If there should be any changes please let me know.
