I personally did mine in-country. I came on visa-free entry. I did a 1 year education visa while I figured things out (but if I had to do it over with learned knowledge...I would skip this step). Then toward the end of the education visa,I changed to a retirement visa. You can do it all in Thailand. There are many paths to reach the same destination. Make sure you've applied for FMP as you can use both Tricare or FMP here. Best of luck with your decision!

@Bob ******
mine showed as international but I'll use property purchase in the future.

Wise told me to use other but told others to use "buying property". I used "Other" and it came through yesterday as international transfer. People who used "buying property" also say it came through correctly marked as international transfer.

if there isn't tissue available to dry...then just do a little twerk action to shake off excess water, then simply redress damp. Thailand is so humid that you tend to stay damp anyway so no big deal.

I just saw on another post that this might not be the case in India! I haven't been through there so I don't know.

So let me change that answer to "In my experience flying...."

If you don't leave the secured area of the airport, you don't need a visa or additional paperwork.

Ask for "brown mixture" at the pharmacy. That's the name that was printed on the label the last time I got it. Sip as needed was the directions! 🤣

It cleared up my chest congestion and cough like magic! Tasted not so good...but it only took a couple of doses to knock it out.
