Samut Prakan last week. They did not require the lease but the landlord did have to have lodged a correctly completed TM30.

I say allow them. Anonymity doesn’t have much to do with post quality and there are lots of reasons people might want to be anonymous. We asked questions anonymously on various groups about visas for a while because our kids didn’t know we were contemplating a move yet (we kept it secret until after one got married to avoid stealing attention from the wedding). Same might apply for someone whose exit includes leaving a relationship. And some might be giving sensitive info about their financial means.

Anonymous participant 718 except it’s very difficult to function in Thailand as a long term temporary resident without it. Coverage for paying electricity, water, water heater installation, all sorts of things by foreign credit card etc is very patchy. Even when it exists, it often fails in practice when the remote bank wants two factor authentication - the local banking platform implementation is often untested and times out too soon, things like that.

Lots of people have capital but prefer to keep it in productive assets in their country of origin.

Your premium will continue to go up as you age, and it will accelerate into your sixties and beyond. You should talk to a broker to get the best deal you can, but be aware that often your existing cover will be best because depending on the fine print of your policy, they may be stuck with any recent conditions whereas these will be excluded pre existing for new policies.

Real answer: The (1) is an internal reference to which officer it's assigned to. In many embassies there is only 1 person. Then it goes on to another person Pending Approval, who may also be officer number 1 for that role (or sometimes you get contacted asking for more paperwork). The specific number doesn't mean anything for you, don't worry about it.
