Yes agents have their own interpretation! We arrived in Thailand beginning of november, then went to Malaysia, came back 60 days on exemption + 30 days. Now we are going a few days in Vietnam and come back til april 1st.

We went to see an agent in Hua Hin and she told us that we are ok, because when we will come back from Vietnam, it will be our first 60 days exemtion in 2026. She said no need for a visa.

But we will have our flight ticket out printed + proof of $$ + aibnb reservation

Jayne Stuart Only for 3 months, you enter with visa exemption and before the 60 days, you go to immigration and get a 30 days extension for 1900 tb. No need a tourist visa for only 3 months.

Robert Merrell Visa exempt but a man did a post about having only 7 days extension with MTV and last extension was last march…

They say for MTV you are alowed 2 extensions by year (from date to date). First 30 days and second 7 days. New rules…

Yes we got 30 days for second extension but many others got only 7 days…so depend of the immigration agent 🤷‍♀️

But next year, will take OA visa, too stressful not knowing how many days you will be granted…

Yes but now the second extension is only 7 days! So that means, you get 60 days + 30 days extension, then go out, get stamped again 60 days and after you get only 7 days…So if you want to stay 6 months, you have to get out 2 times or stay for 3 weeks in another country 🤷‍♀️

Bradley Gibson If you can afford it, it’s ok. My friend’s ohusband needed a surgery and it was 60 000 usd and too sick to travel to his country. I doubt if the author of the post has a 20k pension, he can affort it 🤷‍♀️

I think they changed it a few months ago. I saw the information on an expat group. We applied online and were accepted 2 days after. They could accept it or give you an appointment.
