He went to Mukdahan on 9th May to do a border bounce, coming back into Thailand the immigration officer stamped him in until 7th August but it should have been 6th August. So when he went to do a border bounce yesterday it was a one day overstay.

Yep, he was given wrong date stamp, should have been 6th August.

Can you renew their Thai passports at the Thai Embassy in London? When you arrive in Thailand you can do Thai ID cards for them too.

Maybe try another town or city! I know when I tried Bangkok Bank they insisted on that British Embassy letter.
