 yes cars are cheaper in Bangkok, and more of a selection. Thailand has a heavy import tax, so if you buy a Thai made car it usually costs less.

I live in Samui

Domestic help- 12K-13K full time.

Car hire depends on the car but if it’s not a 4x4 it should be about 10K

Food is really cheap and you can manage without eating out @ 10K or less comfortably.

So one can come in on the 30 day exemption visa and convert that into a Retirement visa. That’s good to hear.
