60 day visa plus extension is 90 days or 3 months, a border bounce gives you 30 days exempt plus 30 days extension gives you a total 150 days

visa exempt is not visa extension can not extend a visa if you don't have one. You extend the exempt entry

ok so can then extend for extra 30 days then need to leave and return and do the same.

Or get a 60 day visa plus 30 day extension then leave and return exempt for another 30 days plus can extend that for another 30days

when you get the email back confirming pre-approval you then send your passport and paperwork and payment plus a return prepaid postage bag to the Sydney consulate

If you staying airside and not going through immigration at Bkk airport you dont need a visa as your not entering the country, different story if you have to go through immigration and check into your next flight
