it's needed if your able to get insurance in Australia but I could not find any that would sign the required paperwork. Hence best to just do thai insurance.

You got 30 days visa exempt stamp on arrival. Yes that can be extended for another 30 days at immigration office near where your TM30 is registered

nothing to be confused about. Simply forget about the mention of foreign insurance and get the Thai insurance and you be guaranteed it's acceptable

no 1 is if you use a company from your home country. You can use 1 or 2 but not many home company’s will sign paperwork for 1 the foreign insurance

Forget getting 1. You will find very few insurance companies at home will sign the paperwork to get accepted. I use axa easy care to keep my OX

Visa are expensive in NZ anyway so better to do the exempt, hopefully by early July it will be 60 days exempt plus the 30 extension

Yes. Or you could go online and get 60 day visa from Canberra thai embassy. Save having to go to immigration.

I just renewed my yearly policy with TID they don't charge extra.
