There is no official limitation. It's up to the immigration officer if he believes you are a tourist or not. Attached you can find the official statement.

^ What Daniel said. Land border crossing without visa is limited to two times per calendar year. No official limit when traveling by air.

Yes, 30 days with exemption stamp.

Hello

You still can extend your stay by 30 days when you entered under visa exemption. The second extension would be 7 days.

Dino Misenti Most of the time nobody asks. But it is possible that they do and then it's better when you are prepared.

Last time they didn't ask me when I crossed the land border.

Usually it shouldn't be a problem to get a second SETV, also because I assume you got your visa back home. I did a back to back SETV this year.

Vientiane doesn't require any proofs.

Other embassies/consulates might require:

- proof of finance (although you still need to be able to show 20k Baht (or other currency) in cash at the border if they ask you)

- proof of onward travel

- proof of accommodation

In Vientiane you apply in the morning of working day 1 and pick up your passport in the afternoon of working day 2.

Hello

Since you already got an extension you have to leave the country. Go to an embassy / consulate (Vientiane is recommended because there are no proofs required and the process is easy) and get another SETV that you can extend later. Then you're good until September.
