Hi. I've arrived in Thailand on a single entry tourist visa.

I've just done my extension.

I plan to stay here till September.

What are my options, I'm guessing a trip to a neighbouring country and reapplying for the same visa is an option.

My visa is till 20th of June.

TLDR : Answer Summary
After obtaining an extension on your single entry tourist visa in Thailand, you can either make a trip to a neighboring country like Myanmar and reapply for the same visa, or utilize affordable flight options to nearby destinations. Another recommended option is to visit an embassy or consulate, such as the one in Vientiane, where obtaining a new tourist visa is often easier and does not require extensive documentation.

You can go to Myanmar a couple of times.

or you can you Fly-In/Out....many cheap airlines in Thailand with close destinations...plus as of now there are no restrictions on the amount of Fly In/Out in calender year

fly out then get a visa. You want to stay until september, have to leave 20-6 just flying in/out will only get you until about 19-8 with extension, whilst a visa will get you past that date if you extend.

Hello

Since you already got an extension you have to leave the country. Go to an embassy / consulate (Vientiane is recommended because there are no proofs required and the process is easy) and get another SETV that you can extend later. Then you're good until September.

There is a limit even at Vientiane, that at some point they will decide you have too many, but I have got two from Vientiane specifically back-to-back and I have five or six total from them in my passport, so you should be fine going just for a second. Neither Vientiane nor the Nong Khai border require the 20k, onward travel or accommodation.

Dino Misenti Most of the time nobody asks. But it is possible that they do and then it's better when you are prepared.

Last time they didn't ask me when I crossed the land border.

Usually it shouldn't be a problem to get a second SETV, also because I assume you got your visa back home. I did a back to back SETV this year.

Vientiane doesn't require any proofs.

Other embassies/consulates might require:

- proof of finance (although you still need to be able to show 20k Baht (or other currency) in cash at the border if they ask you)

- proof of onward travel

- proof of accommodation

In Vientiane you apply in the morning of working day 1 and pick up your passport in the afternoon of working day 2.

Yes - Vientiane still no proof required - no bring working day 1 morning pick up working day 2 afternoon

Thanks Patrick.

2 questions mate if that's okay?

-is there any chance they would refuse the visa? B2B visas or something?

-what proofs might they require?

-is it same day collection?
