Lol the us taxes you wherever you live if you are a citizen, regardless of your income source, so it’s not unusual. If you don’t like it don’t do it. Btw tax in Thailand is 12%~35%.

Vitaly Ivanov there are plenty of old condos (larger room sizes) which are in good shape. Not all but then neither are some in singapore, which are not freehold btw. Oversupply is a concern but a good location should maintain value. There are a few reputable builders.

how is income “brought” into Thailand. If I pay for things with my Singapore credit card does this qualify? Who in the actual - brings cash along anymore? 😣

wrong assumption. You should always assume the worst case scenario. How will Thailand enforce tax collection on part time residents is an open question. At the end of the day check dual taxation treaties between your “home” country and Thailand.
