Shop around some dentist in BKK charge upwards to 50,000 baht for a implant. I found that Dio Dental only charges 25,000 baht. They even let you pay as you go. First step is the anchor which takes 3 months to heal over after placement and then the crown will be cast and attached. So like pay for step one then pay the balance after the implant is completed. Good luck.

...It's a crap shoot. I never had any problems getting a letter of guarantee until this year. It may also depend on the particular branch and it's manager also not every Thai immigration office holds to the same criteria. I live in Buriram you may have a different experience in your province. I had my savings account with Bangkok Bank for 10 years. After this fiasco I opened a new account at Kasikorn Bank. It's probably best to have a couple of savings accounts open just to stay on the safe side. A lot of crack downs going on all because of the scammers and agents depositing money in foreigners bank accounts to meet seasoned funds requirements then withdrawing after mission accomplished.

...They changed their policies about letter of guarntee for retirement visa application with Thai Immigration. I use the 65K baht international wire transfer every month for 12 months and get a annual bank statement to show proof of my monthly transfer to satisfy the valid financial requirement verses holding 400,000 (married) 800,000 (single) to be seasoned in bank. This year Bangkok Bank wouldn't give me a letter of guarantee unless I allowed them to freeze 400,000 baht in my savings account for 4 months. I had no choice but to agree to the upgrade. The immigration officer flat out told me that Bangkok Bank has aggresively been making it more difficult for long term expats to obtain visas and that they are the first to enforce new policies that were put into effect as of 2025. The Thai immigration officer also told me use any other bank but stay away from Bangkok Bank. He knows because he sees first hand how much of a problem they have made for expats. I use WISE for my international transfers from my USA bank to Thailand bank. Kasikorn is the main banking institution that WISE uses to complete the international transfer and if you use another bank the wire transfer can take 24 hours to 5 or 7 days (depending on holidays, weekends, etc.). Using Kasikorn you will get your wire transfer in minutes or same business day.
