Not all consulates need the money there for 3 months, it is not a requirement. I know some do, and it's useful information to know the ones that do. But if reports are that Hanoi doesn't require this, it's misinformation and not helpful to say it does.

Kevin Fogarty For DTV applications, many consulates do, yes. I got mine from London with a Wise statement, and there are reports that Hanoi also accepts it.

You don't even need to enter Thailand within 3 months, if you get the visa it's valid for 5 years.

It doesn't matter if the consulate you apply at accepts it as proof of funds, which many do.

Would you have a reference for that, from someone who applied in Vietnam? As people have posted saying they got it with the money only there at the end. They do need 3 months statements, but not the money there for 3 months.

Every single person in that thread says it was accepted, including in Hanoi. Not a single case of anyone saying it wasn't.

Example, Hanoi not needing it. Search in more detail to confirm regarding HCMC if you might apply there.

There are several reports that Vietnam has no minimum funds seasoning requirement, search to confirm that hasn't changed recently but that is how it was. They may want to see 3 months for income but the 500k just has to be there at the end.
