In theory if you do remote work in Thailand while teaching English it would be illegal, as your work permit would only allow you to do the type of work on your permit. Education visa same thing. Probably wouldn’t ever catch you with remote work but you’re not allowed to work in Thailand on a DTV visa, but you could do remote work. Not sure how schools for kids work on DTV.

guaranteed. It’s not considered tourism anymore if you spend 6 months in Thailand already. That’s why they are cutting it from 60 to 30. Believe whatever you want, makes no difference to me.

Prices for glasses are higher than prices in the United States right now. I was expecting glasses to be cheaper but they were the same price as in the US, without insurance. For $10 a month you get free glasses in USA.

maybe don’t listen to my advice, so hard to figure out what’s what with recent changes no one seems to know. My non imm BOI visa for my own company was unable to be extended due to new paperwork that had to be completed 1 week prior to visa ending. My renewal appt was 2 days after the rule change which was 5 days left before it expired and I have no choice but to leave country now to apply again.

I don’t know. Everyone is saying yes but I just tried with my friend and he was forced to leave the country. So who knows, rules just changed last week.
