Saw this post and checked my SCB app.. seems the same thing has happened to me. I am currently back in the UK and not planning on returning to Thailand until the end of the year. I was warned I need to update my phone number at the beginning of the month so I emailed SCB customer service on the 8th of July to explain I was back in the UK and how could I arrange this.. no reply. I contacted AIS live chat to see if I could get a letter confirming my passport number/telephone number (my husband is still in Thailand so hoping he could go into SCB for me)... AIS live chat is useless. Call AIS, no option to speak to someone in English. Call SCB, it says if you're a foreigner "hold the line"... it gives options in thai, then hangs up- I have tried SCB 3 times and it rings once then cuts out π₯²π₯²
Just use Chat GPT- just put "write a me letter to support my DTV Thailand visa application working for this company, please include that I can work remotely" etc and edit it as you please (or even better- get ChatGPT to do it for you)
Super easy to obtain a thai drivers licence with both your home license and IDP! Handy to have something with your thai address on and saves you carrying your passport... I've even done internal flights and checked into hotels (tm30) just using my thai drivers license as well as helping me verify for things like Binance TH (as its government issued ID). Above comment is correct from my understanding also, you're only entitled to 90 days on an IDP (as after this you're expected to get a thai one)
You may choose to get a lawyer to help you but the only documentation required (in addition to passport/home license/IDP) is a certificate from a doctor (cost me about 200B) and a letter from immigration (residency certificate)- again about 200B..
I know for Krabi I had to book an appointment through the "DLT" app π€πΌ
