Just need to change to non o first

For that your entry stamp has to be valuable 15 days or more ( period you can stay ) If not 15 days ask extension of 30 days first

No need to leave the country

If it is for Phuket, I can send you the details on monday if you're interested

he can do first the regular 30 days and apply after for COVID before the deadline ( max 45 days before last visa expires ) But no re-entry on COVID ( what is logic )
