Stuart thanks for your thoughts. I think it makes more sense for me to actually spend time with her next year, get evidence, then it will be 2 years of communication and meeting twice which will give more backing to us being in a relationship. She has no interest moving here and I won't move there as I have to have my prostate cancer checked every 3 months, plus she is happy working until 60. (I would then be 80!!) So our arrangements of seeing each other twice a year is practical. As for marriage, I don't think either of us want that.

thank you. Our relationship is only 3 weeks old but we have connected so well so marriage is not really on our minds. I think it will be best that we meet next year, get evidence that we have met and spent time together, then try in 2027. I hate our immigration treating Asians this way, she only wants a holiday!!!!

thanks. It's ridiculous that our government penalise Asians so much. She supports one daughter through university, and has a senior job in the local government education department and parents. She owns land but not a business. No idea about her bank account though. Do I need to save all WA data proving that , come next summer, we have had daily conversations for a year?

she has a senior position in the education dept and two daughters, one that is dependent on her. I assume she has her parents but I haven't asked. This relationship is in its infancy and it will be a year of contact by the time next summer comes. Surely as long as she shows she can pay her way and/or I provide evidence I can support her for 2 weeks, how could it be a problem? I am 71 and she will retire in 10years, and until then we would have our separate lives, meeting twice a year. This isn't some bar girl looking for holiday sex!! I do understand our government suspect every Asian person want to abscond and stay illegally, that's why I posted the question. Thanks for your thoughts

Andy hi, she works for the government living in government property, supports one of her girls at university, I have no idea of her bank balance, I will pay expenses for the two weeks here. She has travelled to Vietnam and some other countries, but not Europe. She will pay for her flight. What do you think? We are looking at next summer

Blimey the traffic police will be busy as all bike riders do most of those things. But you say pillion passengers can also be fined, when are not actually the one driving? That can't be right

is that true, from the UK? I always thought it would be cheaper to get a return? Next year I planned to fly in and out of Bkk and in-between travel to Indonesia and Malaysia. What booking site do you use?

So what happens if next year I fly into bkk (and a return flight back out 2 months later), travel in Thailand, visit other countries then return to Thailand for maybe a week and fly home to UK? Is that a multi entry visa I need?

don't worry I am never able to do that. Any relationship I get into abroad has to stay abroad. It wouldn't be perfect but I have little choice. Unless I meet a Asian lady near me in the UK
