BrightSunflower8975 I read this several times in the group. I think they just want to have an idea from when you will come to Thailand. In general - you never know when they will approve your visa so maybe you are not able to take the flight because you haven’t your visa.

Callum Hao oh wow, maybe they changed something in the last weeks or having a new officer who want to know more? 😁 Did you get your approval today? We are also waiting for my husbands (dependent visa). Applied on Tuesday and Wednesday it changed to “pending approval” as well. Didn’t heard anything yet.

Anonymous participant 633 mhh but till the first request they didn’t know with the long stay in Thailand.. and it was with ED visa so never did a visa run or something. And they asked more about business than stays and stuff..

GenuineLobster1195 No (normally not!). Normally they also don’t ask that many questions for remote work I would say… don’t know why that happened here.

From the documents I submitted and the questions they asked afterward, it seemed like they didn’t really look at what I had sent, because I had already included almost everything the first time.

A friend of mine has a theory that someone there was simply interested in online work and how it all functions. (He experienced something similar in another situation where authorities questioned him about his business, which didn’t really make any sense.)

They asked the same things two or three times in different ways.

Either that, or there are just too many people applying for a DTV with low income and there were confused..

Even though it was annoying at times to gather more documents, I’m happy that it was approved — and that’s what matters in the end.
