The character George sings about could have given the gift at a different time: πΌπ€Your last birthday, I gave you my heart...." But that wouldn't have hit the charts every year since π€£π€£
Of course you are right. George grew up in a largely Christian country and his main markets remain Christian. Whether he was an active Christian is not relevant. He was referencing the holiday period when gifts are given, and lamenting that his heart was given away by his love interest
I hear agents are having trouble getting bank accounts for clients who have tourist visas, including DTV, or no visa at all. Only residents with long term visas
Derrick, I won't be as rude as some have been. But it seems as if you've done little to no research into this life-changing move you've made.
First step, make sure your accommodation has recorded you as an alien staying there, on a TM30.
Next go to Immigration in your province, and ask for the handout on Non-Imm O Retirement extentions. Also ask for a Residency certificate.
Then take the Residency certificate and open a bank account.
Transfer 800k baht into your new account.
Spend a leisurely 2 months learning the procedure for your extention, gathering all the required paperwork. That's how long the money needs to sit in your new Thai bank account before you can apply for the 12 month extention.
Or be prepared to find a local Visa Agent who will do all that for you for quite a considerable amount of money.
Welcome to Thailand. I think it offers you a fantastic life full of wonderful experiences π
oh that is different from what it says! Mine is actually due on 28 December, 12 days from now, but with holidays coming I decided to do it early. I'll just pop to Jomtien later this week (NOT FRIDAY!) Plus the email specifically said its because it is my first 90 day report since last arriving in Thailand
