I know, I'm sorry but I have 2 Qs in one day 🤷🏽
I'm diagnosed with Obstructive Speep Apnea and was prescribed to use a C-PAP mask every night. I was required to report this to the UK driving licensing authority, and give an undertaking to use the mask as prescribed. On this basis there were no concerns about me continuing to hold a licence and drive, over a period of more than 15 years now.
Does anyone have experience of reporting OSA on the medical cert when applying for a Thai driving licence? What was the outcome, please?
Thanks.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The process for obtaining a medical certificate for a Thai driving license is generally straightforward and quick. Reports suggest that the medical exam is minimal, often requiring only a blood pressure check and a basic assessment of the individual's general health. Most clinics charge around 100-200 baht for this service. There seems to be little concern regarding the notification of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) to Thai authorities, with anecdotal experiences indicating that the medical staff may not fully understand or inquire about such conditions, focusing instead on issuing a medical certificate to cover their responsibilities.
