Getting a manager's cheque was a new experience. Here's what happened. Once I I hit the submit button on the application portal, it generated a QR code indicating the payment amount (50,000 Nepali rupees, roughly 350 USD or 11,500 THB). A pdf can be downloaded from that page. I printed it and took it to the bank (Global IME Bank). At the bank, I first took a queue number but later found out I actually didn't need this for the manager's cheque. I was directed towards another person who asked me fill out a form and sign. It took about 30 mins for the process. The bank charged me 100 Nepali rupees (roughly 0.7 USD, 23 THB) as a service fee. Could have been quicker if I knew I didn't need to queue. I then took this cheque to the embassy. So basically I had to go to the embassy two times -- first to drop the cheque and then for the interview. Recommended to print two copies of the QR code - one for the bank and one for the embassy.
