ah got it, thanks. I’m heading back again in March for another round of 45 + 30 and was a little concerned that I may run into this issue, as this time around some of my trip will be spent staying with friends and not hotels. I will be entering in Phuket and doing my extension in Patong beach which is where I always do my extensions and to date haven’t been asked for a TM30. I’ll probably just check into a hotel just before my extension so in the event that I need a TM30 I should be able to provide one. Hope that all makes sense and is a logical approach?

has that always been the case? Reason I ask is I’ve done many extensions (visa exempt) in the past including most recently in November last year and I’ve never been asked to show a TM30. I wonder if the original one done by my hotel somehow carries over?
