Iβve been on both types you are talking about. Iβve been here 8 years and only had a home visit once. First two years retirement EofS then swapped to marriage only because of the new financial restrictions they brought in on the retirement EofS which were far more restrictive and I thought was taking the pi**
The basic differences between the two you are talking about are financial requirements are different the retirement is twice as much as the marriage and the restrictions on how the banked money on periods and amounts that must be adhered to during the year to expiry date
Marriage is definitely more tedious paperwork wise and process wise they are the two major differences
What tricked me is the guys whoβs post it is mentioned it not getting Under Consideration stamp and was talking about Retirement EofS. Ok something I forgot as been on marriage for a good 4 years now But looked back at my retirement stamps in Passport. And obviously you were right Tod as always πΉππ¬π§πΊπΈπΉπππ»ππΌπͺπ½ππ
Wow your Extension of Stay without a 30 days Under Consideration stamp never understood that..!!! The first time you ever get a Eof S it makes some sense. After if you are getting a straight renewal it doesnβt make any sense at all. But it is Amazing Thailand πππ
totally agree specially as Yala, Narathiwat, Pattani are the three trouble provinces. And general holiday tourist insurances will not cover them. So that another big reason why a lot of tourists especially westerners/Europeans donβt use the land boarder in the Deep South
Yes also itβs not a boarder popular with Farangs wanting to go get a visa. As very very few Farangs down the Deep South and that exactly the way I like it.
Cheers Tod Iβm there in Penang for 2 days 9th and 10th of December so might actually pop in if thatβs allowed. But yes was going to be one of my next two steps get Su to ding them and see what they say
ok no problem still as foggy as ever about the whole thing but whatever I find out Iβll give feed back. Iβd presume if they offered this visa service before Covid-19 they offer it again afterwards resuming the same visa services
