I’ve just received my ‘O’ visa from the Thai embassy in London. It’s an easy process the cost is £60, you have to upload a recent photo of your head and shoulders, also 3 months of bank statements showing you have minimum £18,000 plus and proof of your address in the UK, your passport with more than 6 months left on it, all documents have to be uploaded in pdf format. It took about 3 weeks from start to finish. When I arrive in Thailand I will now be able to open a bank account then apply using an agent for my retirement visa.

Get a Revolut account, great for abroad, you get a better rate converting sterling into baht. If you want to draw cash out, use the Krugsi atm’s I draw 30,000 baht out at a time, in Thailand the banks charge 220 baht to withdraw cash.

I’ve got 3 implants and 2 bridges, the rest are crowns. You have to do 2 trips and 6 months apart if you need implants, as the dentist puts the screw in the gum and you have to wait for it to heal, I’m going back next April to complete the work, I also had to have a bone graft and a sinus lift as I had so many teeth missing at the back. With the price it included vip transport from the airport also b and breakfast at a lovely hotel on the beach with pool, 10 mins drive to the clinic, they collect and drop you off for every appointment and return you to the airport. I have a contact name and number if you would like it and say to them I recommended the clinic.
