Similar thing is happening with me. One year ago, I kept money (400K THB) for few days and I got my visa extended easily. This year, I heard different perspectives. One Immigration officer asked me to keep money for 1 month and after a week the same Immigration officer told me to keep 400K for 60 days.
I didn’t argue with her and hence still trying to fulfill 60 days requirement to get my visa done. I am sure that they are going to ask me to keep the amount for the third consecutive month as well.
I don’t know where shall we go and ask for helping us from Immigration officers’ changing regulations?
Its Counter J1 actually. But you have to submit the fees at Counter A (where we submit 90 days report). Please let me know whether they asked you to pay the fine or not?
Where did you get your Non-O visa from? Your country? Or from Thailand?
The first time, they issue visa for 3 months. And then you will have to renew your visa again upto 1 year duration from immigration office. When they renew it after 3 months, they usually renew upto 1 year. In that case, you will not have to go out and get stamped once you receive the 1 year non-O visa (single entry or multiple entries).
Example:
Suppose u got ur first Non-O marriage visa on 1-May-2018. You must renew it again before 1-Aug-2018.
Suppose, when u renew it on 30-July-2018, then your visa expiry date will be 1 year after that date on 28-July-2019.
