Yikes! Did it have to be in Thai baht? Or was it acceptable to have the equivalent in another currency?

The one time they asked you to show it, would they let you go to an ATM to withdraw it? Or did you have to have it already on you?

OMG in Malaysia I’ve only been to Kuala Lumpur, but the food was one of the few things I liked about it. I’d always wondered if the rest of the country had more positives, but now it sounds like the opposite. But someone I work with is travelling there in August …

Overstayed a couple of days about 10 years ago because my flight was cancelled (volcanic eruption in Bali). I made it to Suvarnabhumi and got pulled aside to a counter to pay the fine. Some guy was yelling at me and threatening to send me to the Immigration Detention Centre, and kept going even when I showed him proof of the flight cancellation. But in the end I just paid the money and got on the flight.

Personally the bulk translation tool here

I’m at the point where if I don’t understand a sentence it’s because of one word or phrase. This tool lets me zoom on those words and provides many alternative translations for each one.

What’s so bad about Jomtien Immigration? Is it really worse than Bangkok’s?

Any idea if it’s the same at Trat Immigration? I want to do a few weeks in BKK then a few weeks on an island, extending the visa along the way. If Bangkok’s a lot slower I’ll make sure I do the extension in Trat.

OK but if he still rocks up to class (and maybe just sleeps through it) then wouldn’t he be OK?
