Little to no chance of her getting a tourist visa with a US boyfriend/fiance. Fiance visa is likely the best option but takes a long time.

yeah, it kind of felt like a planes, trains, and automobiles type of a trip with all the different transfers and fees. I had just over a dozen changes in transportation there and back.

I'm not really sure. A post a few days ago said they now have a financial requirement of 400k, same as in country. I asked a few questions but didn't ask if it was required to be in a Thai bank account. If so then I don't see any benefit to going there over applying in country and getting a reentry stamp. Way cheaper overall, easier, and you get stamped in for a year vs 90 days.

the posts I've seen didn't say they stopped issuing them (I got one 3 weeks ago), but that they now require the 400k in the bank as of last week sometime.

lucky I got mine a few weeks ago. My wife wasn't with me, but I had a letter and a good excuse. Sorry to hear they changed the rules just before you got yours

I'm curious, was your wife with you? I got one just a few weeks ago and at the time the rumor was they would only give you a multiple entry if your wife was with you, or you had a letter from her and a good excuse as to why she wasn't with you. So I'm curious if the 400k is only asked if you are without your wife.

Had to look up both gite and annex properties, I had never heard of either, but as Brandon said what kind of property you live on has nothing to do with your visa. Some visas require you to show a lease is about the only thing.

interesting. Perhaps the online 90 day report just sends it to the local immigration office and just like most other things they each have their own rules. The rejection emails specifically state that I needed to update the tm30 and lists the hotel that registered me. I rarely go 90 days without staying in a hotel somewhere which is why mine are never successful. Perhaps they would be if I had the owner re-file every time I returned home, but I never bother them. It's always been quick and easy to pop into immigration and take care of both here.

if you stay in a hotel that does the tm30 then the online 90 day report won't work. Maybe it does if you do another tm30 when you return home, but I've had them rejected because it doesn't match the last tm30 filed. Which was by the hotel.

I have a $1,000 or roughly 36,000 baht limit on my card. I've confirmed it with my bank and my financial advisor that manages that and other accounts yet every single atm (I've tried most of the banks) i go to will only give me 10,000 baht.
