When I did mine I did do a return ticket ( more for the airline and myself) and there wasn't a lot of difference in price for one way

Paul Flemming also from UK I did the non immigrant o before we came in UK. Had to show the funds in UK bank over 3 month period. Then got an agent to do extension in thailand.saved a lot of money and time doing the main bit in uk
