"Thailand is introducing a new Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) that will be mandatory for all visa-exempt travelers entering the country by air, land or sea."
That is/was the plan... if or when? Well... who knows...? ;-)
Try Bangkok Bank Headquarter... that seems to be the only / "easiest" place right now.
P.S.: You are right... a workpermit is one option, the other one is a Non-Imm-Visa... they love it. With your DTV... if BBL HQ says no, then there is almost no chance at the moment, not without an agent.
P.P.S.: And don't forget... the bank make the rules, and every branch make their own. So... everything is up to them, there is no rule or law that they have to let you open an account.
Not sure if this is considered as "medical treatment"... 🤔🙄😁
But... since there were approvals with one dentist appointment or 2 weeks cooking class or one month Muay Thai... why not hair removal as well...? I would try it at a walk-in Embassy... just to make sure that I don't lose the fee... if... just in cases... ;-)
