I was also rejected the first time in Hanoi and went to the embassy. There is a little counter and someone will come and speak to you and you can ask them the reason and ask them. That’s what I did and then I re applied in Hanoi and was approved

The same thing happened to be in Hanoi. I was sure I entered everything correctly but they said I hadn’t.

I was also rejected in Hanoi for a technicality and went to the embassy 3x before I resubmitted and spoke to the people who were super helpful.

I’d recommend just going to the embassy with all the docs and asking them what the problem was

The same thing happened to me in Hanoi and they said i had entered my passport country as “Vietnam” even though I think I checked everything.

I re applied (and paid the fee again) and then was approved.

ok thanks…isn’t it better to have the actual visa stamp in your passport vs having the letter ?

I’ve read they can see it in the system but in case the immigration officer at the airport and says no or just is in a bad mood.

that’s great to hear as I was going to go to Hanoi as well next week to apply…do you have to then go into the embassy to get the stamp after you apply and are approved online ?
