Take the dog to a dog daycare.

Do the visa run ,you can not extend for 60 days only 30,after you have to do a run outside and back anyway .

Better yet doba visa run and then come to koh kood

Rent in the area for one year.

Then decide if it is where you want to live.

Many many build and then realize it's not the place they can live.
