thank you for your detailed reply. Regarding the 800k THB. Can the equivalent or more of that be held in a U.K. bank account ? I do have a Thai bank account but prefer to keep most of my money in U.K. to get higher interest.

I think it’s because Wise doesn’t send direct to SCB. It goes via partner bank Kasikorn who then transfer on to SCB. This then becomes domestic transfer on the statement.

the transfers are very fast. The only problem is no FTT stamp.
