It is ”possible”. But would not recommend trying it long term.

Remember health insurance, occasional car rental etc. It just becomes too difficult without some back up money.

Unfortunately you are applying for a visa to Thailand. There is no common sence in their approach to your application.

In any case I wish you good luck.

, it is not about old or new apostille but about that Thailand does not accept the apostille concept (at least that what I been told)

In any case, as mentioned earlier, I am just looking for somebody to carry out the moving of the paperwork i.e. going/making appointments at the embassy, amphur, MFA etc. as I am not patient enought for that stuff.

, My marriage certificate has been apostilled years ago for getting a residence permit for my wife in EU. Thailand has not finally accepted this convention yet according to a lawyer friend so we have to get it legalized according to the ”old” system.

My sources (local immigration) say that I do not need to get it authorised by the Thai embassy in the country we married. They say I just need to bring it to the embassy of the marriage country in Thailand and then to the MFA in Bangkok. Please comments on this

, i am not having problems with a thai embassy just the local embassy of the country where we got married.

Anyway, I am just looking for somebody to take care of visiting banks for getting the bank account, the amphur for getting the marriage registered etc, etc. I just don’t have the patience for this stuff.
