David Dillion plans for the worst and hope for the best. I am due in Sept 2019 and am now putting the 65k in the bank. I will know eventually if it is going to work, but I don't want to find out in six months I should have started now, if you know what I mean.
there was an interview by radio fm103 and the British Embassy. The Embassy spokesperson said they and Immigration Bangkok had talked, told they were told a bank deposit of 65k/month would be acceptable. HOWEVER, that was BBK, and we know how different offices talk to each other. Also, we are dealing with a group of public servants, who, it seems, have not been given specific instructions on the new circumstances. I think, at this stage, we all need to lobby our individual Embassies a. to get clarity on the situation, and b. to allow a Thai bank statement to be accepted a monthly income. In the meantime, the bottom line is no-one knows.
Chris Parish with the current goings on with American requiring proof of income and the Brits just not doing notorized letters after December, I am going to make sure I transfer

bht into my Bangkok Bank account every month, and have the book available when my extension is due for renewal next September. I am lucky as far as the timing of all this. I use transferwise from Australia.
