As I said yellow book is just a glorified residence certificate if you want to jump through all the hoops translating documents mfa certified to save 500 baht and trip to immigration that's a personal choice

Of what use is a yellow book anyway only for proof of address just pay immigration 500 baht each time for residence certificate that's just me

you left out the most important detail getting passport translated to thai notarized by mfa and sometimes birth certificate as well that's what my amphur has told me to do at mine anyway
