Can you use the DTV multiple entry visa to stay in Thailand for the whole year by leaving and re-entering?

 To extend the visa for another 6 months, there is a fee.

It doesn’t make sense that it’ll be totally free to leave and come back?

That way, no one would bother extending the visa and would be doing visa runs instead

 but it’s only valid for 6 months from date of issue. So you can’t stay 9 months no matter what
