Recommendation. Go to the IO and speak with a supervisor, get their name, then proceed with what you are told. Remember TIT, and things can change by the minute or if someone is having a bad hair day. Good luck.

I see where you say you are building a home. If I may ask, are you doing so on leased land? As a foreigner you can't own land here In most cases. Beware on leasing land. Good luck

Why would anyone wait until the last minute to take care of something as important as your visa? Please explain that to me. You can do your extension to stay 30 days in advance in Udon Thani. Maybe, 45. Sorry, no sympathy from me.

I stated, if you read correctly, which I am not sure you did, that when you use a non Thai issued ATM to with draw funds, you are hit with a 5% fee . This is in addition to the 220 baht. Was implemented by the banks here in November 2023. Pay attention.
