30 transaction/ month for personal bank accounts, then it will be 25 baht/ transaction.

You can scan and pay business bank accounts without any limits or fees.

Other apps such as Moreta pay don't support personal bank accounts at all.

So it's better to have something like this than nothing. but the fee is insane.

If you don't keep an eye on it, you will end up paying a 25 baht fee for paying for a 35 baht of banana or an orange juice on a local market.

So better to use cash in such situation even though I really hate coins

Hi Paul! Hope you’re doing well. I’m looking into opening a bank account here and was wondering if you could share the contact info for the agent you used. Any tips or recommendations would be super helpful too. Thanks a lot!

I got requested the same documents and it felt weird. My employer provided me with their IRS registration and it was accepted

why do you pay taxes in your home country if your tax residency is in thailand unless you country impose it on you?

In case you are employed and not a remote contractor/freelancer. if your home country have a Double Tax Agreement then you will pay the highest percentage between the 2 countries. if there is no Double Tax Agreement then you will pay for both which is insane thing to do.

I stand corrected.

Under the new tax law, you will have to pay worldwide income taxes in Thailand if you spend 180+ days/calendar year
