I would like to tell you my experience out of the Los Angeles embassy. I just received my DTV e-visa today on Oct 30, 2024. I first applied as a remote worker on September 11, 2024. On September 27, 2024 I received an email that said this: "Your visa application has been rejected. Please reapply visa, the name on the application is incorrect." I am certain it was correct, so I was kind of angry. I advise everyone to take screen shots of every page as you fill out the application and double and triple check it and make sure it is correct. On October 3, 2024 I paid another $400 and applied again making absolutely sure it was correct. On October 4, I got an email requesting further documentation. They wanted my most recent tax return and business registration of the company. The tax return was no problem, but the business registration was a problem because I am not a business owner, I am an employee! A few days later, I sent them my tax return and a letter from my employer stating that I am permitted to work as a remote worker. I did not send the business registration because I didn't have access to that as an employee. A week later I got another request for a business registration even though I explained I am not the business owner. Luckily, I was able to obtain a seller's permit from the California State Board of Equalization from my employer and sent it off to them. A few days later I received my DTV. If you are applying for this visa as a remote worker employee, make sure you have access to a business registration of your employer or you will probably waste $400. Once again, also make sure to enter all the information on your application correctly, or that will cost you another $400 also.

Just wanted to thank everyone for all their help in the information that was given. I applied on April 10th for a 60 day visa through the Los Angeles Thai embassy here in the United States. I fly out tonight and I just received it this morning so that's how long it took. One thing is I attached my airline ticket that showed I was leaving today and coming back in September. For my return ticket I just attached the same ticket and I was approved. See you guys on the streets of Thailand. Thank you.

I got my O-A visa today,.Thank you everybody here for the help and helpful posts. Here's my experience.

I went down to LA on sunday night. Stayed at the Rodeway Inn. Nice rooms at a reasonable price and easy 5 minute walk to the embassy.

I showed up at 9:00 am monday morning. There was a short line. You hand your id card to the security guard downstairs. He gives you a badge that you can use to take the elevator to the 2nd floor where they process visa requests.

there are two windows that say 'Visa' on them. You hand your original and two copies to one person. That person checks your forms and highlights the critical parts on each form. The amounts for the financial documents. The date for the airline ticket to go to thailand. If everything checks out, you go to the other window and the other person re-checks your documents and hands you a receipt for your money order. That form has a stamp on it that tells you to come back on the next business day between 10:30 am and 12 to pick up your visa/passport.
