What should I do about my pending Thai visa application after cancelling my flight?

I'm no expert but my thought is send an email stating you have cancelled your flight just so they know you are still in the country and the application isn't cancelled or rejected. In truth I think they would know if you flew out of the UK from immigration and it would show on their computer
