Immigration fines in Thailand for overstaying a visa depend on the length of the overstay:

Under 90 days

A fine of 500 baht per day, up to a maximum of 20,000 baht. If you pay the fine and leave the country, you can return to Thailand without any issues.

More than 90 days

A 20,000 baht fine and a ban from re-entering Thailand for a period of time. The length of the ban depends on how long you overstayed:

More than 90 days but not exceeding 1 year: A 1-year ban

More than 1 year but not exceeding 3 years: A 3-year ban

More than 3 years but not exceeding 5 years: A 5-year ban

More than 5 years: A 10-year ban
