lm on a retire visa, and to get the bank acount you need to go to immigration and ask to be written in to a residents blue book, they then give you a paper you go to the local amphoe office with and show your passport and the paper. Then you need a local/village elder/worker to give green light you live where you say. Then they will give you a yellow book and pink card and you can go to the bank and open the acount. Its a lot more work now after the new monney laundering laws hawe come.
