Foreigners have the yellow house book along with the owners blue house registration and blue ID plus my passport and long term o visa… I also got a pink ID card, all of which got me accounts with 2 banks.

Brian Devison but you can buy or rent the building on top of it. It is the land that foreigners cannot buy.

Get a visa before traveling. Check the website of your nearest Thailand embassy or consulate around 3 or 2 months before travel.

That means you will get the validity of the visa, the number of days you can stay in Thailand as well as the general and local requirements to submit as part of you submission on-line.

Mark Briggs consider that it may be related to the visa and it might also relate to filing the income tax return in Thailand, as one is taxable resident after 180 calendar days in Thailand in a year

We got that plus visit from immigration official to the home plus a 2 local Thais resident in our community who knew us for 10 years

The regulation includes that you must have a return or onward ticket. The airline at check-in could ask (and refuse boarding), immigration in Thailand can request it or none of the above.

James Mitchell that may be true. But the question was about going into a bank and changing branches and not just regarding ATMs.

Anyway, have 1 bank account in Bangkok for 20yrs and another in Khon Kaen (my home) for 29 years.

Jim Patterson exactly. I got the O retirement plus multiple re-entry. The OA requires additional items including health check, I think
