A visa for Thailand has nothing to do with a foreign country embassy. You have to deal with Thai immigration

Absolutely get the rabies vax BEFORE the event. I got nipped by a soi dog a few years back and then had to undergo a course of FIVE shots over a 4-6 week period, which was a pain in the backside (as well as the arm). I was on a round the world at the time, so I had first two jabs in Thailand, the third in the Philippines and the last two in Germany. It's just such a damned inconvenience. I will never make that mistake again. The only advantage was it didn't cost me a cent, as it was covered by insurance. But now I'd always pay the money and get the preventative jabs

It's not a condition. I've opened four accounts in Thailand over the last few years. Always offered insurance. Always declined. But the gullible farangs always fall for it, and they love you for your naivety because your paying their commission! 🤣

@Youssef *****
So do that first before contemplating a border bounce or a visa run

And it's so easy to scam farangs. Thailand knows how gullible they are

Better go to his immigration office to get their take, but as he's now legally in the country on 30-day exempt, I'd say he'd have to start the non-O from scratch. Surprised he didn't say anything at the airport when he entered

What Brandon is saying is that borders are safer than an immigration office. At the border he is already leaving, so he pays the fine and keeps walking. At the immigration office what can they do? Sure he pays the fine, but what about him? He can't get an extension can he? There's only one avenue. He will be arrested and escorted to the airport and placed into IDC until he leaves. He will receive a ban and it will probably be five years.

Re-entry permit is issued up to the expiry date of the current entry stamp, that's if you're eligible to get one
