yeah I know. It’s just a shame innocent people get the short end of the stick without realising. The official word from immigration is that you are definitely allowed to leave and re enter. They should just get rid of the visa if they don’t like it.

yes, I know. It’s a shame, because when researching the ED visa, it clearly states that you are allowed to leave and come back if you apply for a re-entry permit. You shouldn’t have to do further research to find out otherwise. If people knew that it would be a problem, they probably wouldn’t apply for it in the first place. I was going to apply for it, but now I am applying for DTV once I found out about not being able to leave.

What is sleep?

Although it seems reasonable enough to be able to go home for a few days when you have no class, and even if home is less than two hours flight away, everything I’ve read here implies that you could be denied entry upon return. It seems you are trapped in the kingdom!
