yeah, get on with it. Apply for retirement, Thai Wife or work, which one is it? Otherwise a tourist visa is rolling the dice.

We travel (ticket on USA passport) but enter/exit on Thai passport. Never ever an issue at any port. This is 20 years or so.

Get a good lawyer and be fair. It won't be easy, but that's life, you'll get through it. Next time pick someone that you know for a long time before marrying. If she pressures you, something is not right. It should be a peaceful happy feeling not pressure and excuses. Two marriages and kids taught me a lot. You'll get through, make a plan and be fair. She won't be, but that's no matter. You must live with yourself. You'll move on faster than you think.

if you love Thailand, like many of us do, you'll look for every excuse to go back often and or find a way to live there and call it home. It took me awhile to accomplish that. A bank account is a foothold and aging an account there, a good thing. Best wishes
