Just curious, why "living" in Thailand for a 90-day visa? Don't people who stay 'only' 90 days in Thailand usually stay at hotels? And what hotel gives you a rental contract in writing?
Only a few years ago, they had 'agents' arriving at the immigration window with stacks (30-40) of passports (with cash in them?)! Saw it more than once with my own eyes. - Now it's the other extreme. TiT!
Happened to me before: airport - no problem, just fill out a new one. Land border - small problem; have to see supervising officer, who will need about 30min. to look up the card's number on the immigration department's computer.
Heading to Savannakhet consulate soon. But not even sure about the location: opposite the Dinosaur Museum, near the Mekong river bank, on Khantabouly Rd.??
