TLDR : Answer Summary
A user recently applied for a tourist visa in Penang and received a stamp indicating a lengthy stay in Thailand, following an education visa. The community responded with reassurances, suggesting that as long as the application was accepted, it should not be a cause for concern. They advised watching for any warning stamps when picking up the passport. The user later confirmed receiving a 90-day visa, but only 60 days was stamped upon entering the country, which raised some confusion.

The SETV is valid for 3 months from the date of issue, however you'll only be stamped into the country for 60 days.

And let us know too, whether you got the visa without/with stamp. ;-)

When you get your passport back look for this stamp.

see if you get the warning stamp on your tourist visa when you pick up your passport.

Usually they only put that stamp if you have had multiple tourist visas
